What to expect

nestled beyond the western border of Kenya, is Uganda. A truly remarkable resurgence in tourism down to a rethink in tourism policy by the Ugandan government, investing their economic boom into protecting the fragile ecosystems that low land gorillas  & chimpanzees call home

This has meant conservation of the diverse bird life that nests in its dense lush green rain forests. One of the success stories is Kidepo Valley National Park, ranked third in Africa's best national parks by CNN travel in 2013. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, also voted Africa's best birding site by African Bird Club.

The Murchison Falls area flows onto the Kazinga channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park, this belt of protected area is Africa's bird watching pearl -   shoe-bills in the wetlands, rare Congo Guineu Biome species just to mentioned a couple.  Home to some 604 bird species, the ‘Royal mile’ near Murchinson falls National park & Bwindi National park, ranked first by Africa travel magazine in its list of top ten bird watching sites in Africa
