School Safari to Africa

Day 1

Meet you at the airport in Nairobi and transfer to the city hotel. Day spent with a guided walking city tour, a visit to elephant orphanage where you get the opportunity to feed and adopt either orphaned, abandoned or sick baby elephants. After lunch guided tour to the Butterfly Centre and see the fantastic different species of butterfly. Feed the Giraffes at the centre too. Followed by visit to Karen Blixen museum. Enjoy your breakfast and prepare your visit to the Ostrich Farm Kitengela. Spend the day and stop for lunch. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2

After breakfast pack and drive through the coffee and pineapple plantations towards the slopes of Mt. Kenya are of Naromoro in time for lunch. Afternoon walk of the village, bird watching, forests, Kikuyu cultural interaction by the Mau Mau historic caves. The place wherethe freedom fighters fought and struggled for freedom.

Day 3

After breakfast, pass the Equator to Sweetwater's Wildlife Sanctuary a private game reserve with rare species, besia oryx, reticulated giraffe and black rhino. The 23,000 acre of wildlife sanctuary was established to protect and breed highly-endangered Chimpanzees & Black Rhinos. The game drive where you will see the wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant & hippo. Visit wildlife orphanage & see the chimps in the Sanctuary. To Nakuru via Thompson's falls & over night at a Nakuru hotel

Day 4

Take a day trip to both Lakes Baringo & Bogoria. You will have a one-hour boat ride with the spectacular scenery of stunning bird life, hippos and crocodiles. There is considerable geothermal activity with hot springs and geysers around the shoreline of Lake Bogoria. Occasionally, huge numbers of flamingos come to feed here, adding to the already famous bird life in the area, also a very good chance of photographing the unusually tame greater kudu. After the day trip drive back to Nakuru

Day 5

After breakfast drive to Maasai Mara the open grasslands of the Serengeti-Mara, home to over 3 million large mammals. An afternoon game drive and see for yourself the wild game in the savanna grassland plains including lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, rhino, hyena, cheetah, jackal, warthog and many species of antelopes

Day 6

After breakfast a full day game viewing in Masai Mara Game Reserve. Be lucky to view the spectacular great migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest (July-September). They move with other herbivores such as gazelles and zebra as well. The first sight of Maasai Mara Game Reserve is awesome. See the natures way where each animal struggles to survive and reproduce, and weak lose their struggle

Day 7

After breakfast drive to back to Nairobi, Kenya's colourful capital city. Lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant and enjoy the African meals. Carnivore is also described as 'Meat Eaters Paradise' in Africa's Greatest Eating Experience! After lunch, transfer to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey back home
